“Vans Gogh” custom vans
I recently had the opportunity to do a pair of limited edition custom Vans for the Grouch. Doing research and putting ideas together for the different panels, heels, and tongues was fun but challenging at the same time. I ended up lacing both inside and outside panels with torn up sheet music, then using a glaze to reflect green. On the heels of both shoes i put my logo, and for the tongues i decided to do a portrait of his daughter and wife. Scribed on the inside of the left tongue is “Motivation is key” and on the right tongue “Innovation is my A R T”. Signed them and that was that. The Grouch and i met up when he was in town on his latest tour “How the Grouch stole Christmas”. I gave him the shoes and he seemed pleased. We took pictures and video of the shoes and i’ll post those as soon as i get them. Till then i posted a photo breakdown of the shoes so you can see them.
